I am very new to bell ringing. To date I have only held a bell rope on three separate occasions over two full weeks. The last was to ring some rounds with 7 other more experienced ringers. A fabulous experience.

I decided early on that I would present as female. This was because I earnestly felt that my male side would lose interest quickly whereas my femme side would be more patient and accommodating to the suggestion that this whole scene would be tricky to encompass.

So my intention was to harness my femme, milder side with the undoubted physical strength and determination to succeed of my male side.

So far so good.

I wonder, am I the sole trans person in the ringing circle?
