The first ART Listen & Strike Workshop will be run at Stretham Ringing Education Centre (near Ely in Cambridgeshire) on the afternoon of SUNDAY 30th July, 2-7pm.
This workshop is open to any ringer who would like to improve their striking. It will help you:
• Develop listening skills
• Develop rhythm
• Less reliance on looking
• Leading to better striking

The Programme for the afternoon is as follows:
14:00 Introduction and Theory: Listening – how does it help striking?
14:30 Practical 1: Ringing with a simulator AND classroom-based listening exercises
15:45 Refreshment break
16:00 Practical 2: Exercises to improve listening skills while ringing
17.15 Refreshment break
17.30 Practical 3: Rhythm development – a series of kinaesthetic exercises, some involving ringing, some not
18:45 Round up and Discussion. Plans for Follow-up
19:00 Finish (approx)
