To some, ringers’ teas are the best bit of bell ringing. Many formal ringing society meetings include a special service and a ringers’ tea, usually buffet style, as part of the proceedings.
You will most likely find the teas are very good value for money with a good selection of homemade sandwiches and cakes. Sometimes hot meals are provided where the church has a kitchen or a bring & share arrangement takes place.
If you’re organising your own special practice, or your band are getting together to spring clean the ringing chamber, why not host a ringers’ tea at the end for your hard working team members – ticking off an extra challenge at the same time?
You can also take this opportunity to help with the preparation of the tea if your tower is hosting the event and tick off another challenge.
