Module 2 Course on the 31st October at Macclesfield, with Paul Lewis

There are still spaces available on a M2 course to be held at St Michaels, Macclesfield, on the 31st October 2015.

This course will be tutored by Paul Lewis and is suitable for those whose personal standard of ringing is at a minimum level of a quarter peal of bob minor on an inside bell.

Module 2 is entitled ‘Teaching Elementary Change Ringing’ and focuses on the importance of teaching foundation skills and early method ringing in easily comprehensible stages. It includes theory on coaching, building a band, running a successful practice – as well as practical exercises on teaching skills for plain hunt, bob doubles and other methods.

The module is ideal for ringers who are completely new to teaching and wish to gain confidence, but equally valuable for experienced teachers who are looking to further develop their skills, gain ideas and work towards accreditation through the ART mentoring scheme by supporting another teacher.

The course fee is £20 to ART, with additional local costs of £5 for delegates who require lunch (a ‘ringers’ tea’ type buffet). An additional donation will also be required from each delegate on the day to cover the cost of hiring the Church room. Teas and coffees will be available during the day.
