Today at the ART Conference in Old Basing I went and had a look at the product stall. I needed a couple of Teaching on Simulators books but Anne also alerted me to this publication, so I picked up the 50 Ringing Things booklet.
Going through it I find that maybe I’m not as unskilled or as inexperienced as I think! It has definitely appealed to my task loving side. Two tasks were done at the ART Conference namely producing a ringers tea … of epic proportions I might add 😉 … and ringing handbells on 3 & 4 inside and then 2 & 3 for the first time.
Looking ahead I can really see me going for this and I have already found that I can tick a few more off in the near future.
It’s a numbers thing.
Glad you’re doing the challenge, Deb – and your ringers’ tea was particularly awesome! 🙂
How can I get a copy of this please?
From the ART shop..
ART web site – resources – shop
I’ve ordered two (one for me and one for others to look at). But – I have to say I think £5 is a bit steep. If they were £2 I would dish them out to all my learners (some would pay and some wouldn’t). But for £5 they are only going to go to the keenies.
The postage alone is over a £1 and the profit ART makes is about £1 after the development and printing costs. It would indeed be great if they were £2 but we would need someone to subsidise the cost and I am not sure who we would find to do that!
perhaps I should also add the cost of the IT support and maintenance??
Need to be mindful of price & perception of value. Too cheap & people won’t think it’s any good.
