Edington Priory in Wiltshire was the venue for a very informative and enjoyable Module 1 – Teaching Bell Handling Course. The excellent Tutors were Andy and Sallie Ingram who kept us well occupied during the day which began at 9.00am and finished at 5.45pm.
Several breaks for refreshments and lunch at The Longs Arms, Steeple Ashton kept us all “topped up” and the tea and cake during the afternoon was much appreciated.
The group of fourteen students – 12 Teachers and two Mentors were joined by four other Mentors (full ART Members, on a Refresher Day). The group worked in pairs on seven tied bells and the ringers changed around during the practical sessions to work with different partners. This seemed to work very well.
Everyone seemed pleased with the results and a vote of thanks was given to Andy and Sallie by Chris Purnell
