On the 30th September, Lytchett Matravers Church will be hosting an ART Module 2 F course – a day course designed for anyone who is working with a band at an early level, ringing rounds to plain hunt.
The course will be tutored by Paul Lewis and includes a mixture of practical and theory sessions geared towards teaching foundation skills, such as kaleidoscope ringing, developing listening skills, learning to ring by place, call changes and other steps towards plain hunt. Registration will commence at 9.45 am for a prompt start at 10.00am.
Course fees are £20 payable to ART, with a £5 local contribution for refreshments / lunch which will be served in the Church.
Lytchett Matravers have a ground floor ring with a tenor around 7cwt.
The Module 2 F course is suitable for delegates who can ring a minimum of plain hunt doubles (on any bell) and raise / lower a bell in peal to demonstrate reasonable bell control. It is ideally suited for anyone who aspires to teach ringing at an early stage, who is working with a new band or for experienced teachers who wish to extend their skills in this area and who might be willing to support other, newer teachers through mentoring.
