Show progress using Learning the Ropes scheme

My Ringing

use LTRLearning the Ropes (LtR) is an international learning scheme designed for the new bell ringer.  Learning to ring using the scheme has many benefits:

  • You can see yourself progressing towards becoming a competent change ringer and support yourself whilst doing it
  • Your achievements and hard work are recognised both in the tower and externally in the Ringing World and in ART publications
  • The structured nature of the scheme means that your skills are gradually built onto what has already been learned

It is similar in concept to the music grades or karate belts which people are already familiar with and has five Levels from basic handling to change ringing, all of which require each new ringer to complete several practical exercises and learn some basic theory.

You will have your own Personal Progress Logbook to record your progress and the booklet ‘A Ringer’s guide to Learning the Ropes’ will help you through the process. Make sure you get your LtR certificates and, if you wish, collect the badges for each Level.

You need to complete two Levels on the scheme to complete this challenge

If you would like to know more about the scheme, visit the Learning the Ropes website.
