Ring a quarter peal

My Ringing

A quarter peal is normally 1260 changes long and takes about 45 minutes to ring. This can seem quite daunting if you haven’t rung for this length of time before, but not only will this extended practice allow you to “really get” what you’re ringing, the band will also settle down and you will take part in some really enjoyable ringing.

You will feel a real sense of achievement once the conductor shouts “That’s All” at the end of your first quarter.

Your first quarter peal is likely to either be ringing the treble to a plain method or covering on the tenor. Get your teacher to give you a certificate recording the performance.

Once you’ve rung your quarter peal check it out on Bellboard
