On the 1st October 2016, All Saints’ Marsworth will host our first M2F course (the F stands for ‘Foundations’).  The course will be tutored by Paul Lewis.

M2F is the newest course developed as part of the ART Training scheme, aimed at supporting teachers who are working with bands ringing from rounds to plain hunt.

As with the standard module 2 course, there is emphasis on the theory of coaching, forming a strong band, running an effective and enjoyable practice, giving timely feedback and teaching bell ringing in logical, easy stages – all the skills which are vitally important in retaining new ringers and helping them to progress.

There will also be plenty of practical sessions in the tower where delegates will try various exercises to put the theory into practice.

Delegates attending M2F need to have a personal ringing level of a minimum of plain hunt, and to be able to raise and lower in peal.

Course costs are £20 per delegate, plus local contribution for refreshments (lunch, teas and coffees are £5 for the whole day). There is plenty of easy, free parking by the Church, a nice pub round the corner and we have six easygoing bells rung from a gallery (up a wooden ladder).
